BAMBOO FLOORING

Hardwood flooring made from bamboo is versatile, durable, and attractive in nature. It is stronger than wood and incredibly stable. Tests have shown that bamboo flooring is harder than oak or rock maple, therefore making it more resistant to dents and dings. Due to its stability there is less expansion and contraction compared to traditional hardwood flooring. This provides a greater resistance to warping. There are no knots in bamboo flooring, but instead subtle changes in the grain that produce naturally unique designs in the surface. Installation of our flooring uses the same equipment and technique as other hardwood flooring. It can be nailed, glued, or floated. Bamboo used for our flooring is selected from managed agricultural farms. The plants are harvested within 3 to 5 years when the poles are mature and sufficiently hard. Selective harvesting provides no cost to the environment due to bamboo's rapid regeneration properties. In addition, the use of bamboo relieves destruction of our endangered rain forests. Bamboo flooring is the ecologically responsible alternative to traditional wood flooring.
